Luxor Hotel & Casino was designed by Jordan Marani Architects and built by Perini Construction Company, with a total construction cost Luxor Hotel & (Las Vegas) of approximately $300 million at that time. The resort’s pyramid-shaped architecture is an iconic representation of ancient Egyptian design, inspired by the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt. The pyramidal structure has seven levels, with a central atrium featuring a 70-foot-tall sphinx statue made from fiberglass and steel. Each tower serves a specific purpose: Luxor East Tower houses rooms and suites, while the more recent addition, the Excalibur Hotel (which is connected to the main hotel) primarily accommodates rooms.
